"Web-based presentation tools (Web 2.0 tools) are sometimes referred to as next generation presentation tools. At the most basic level, these tools are simply online versions of traditional presentation software, such as Microsoft’s PowerPoint or Apple’s Keynote. Most online presentation programs provide features like web-based collaboration, online presentation sharing, and non-traditional authoring schemes that offer interesting alternatives to the old standards. Most are free to use, and since they are based on the cloud computing concept, all that is typically needed is a computer with an Internet connection and a web browser." (Go.view.usg.edu, 2015)
